When push comes to shove, what was it that you were pushing and shoving, and why should shoving move it any better than pushing?

Take love, for example. Do you push love, shove love, or give love?

Giving, you see, involves self at its selflessness best. Pushing and shoving involves self at its selfishness worst.

Pushing and shoving means that that which you are promoting is not really desired by those whom you are trying to involve.

Giving – especially when giving love – means that no promotion or gimmicks are involved at all. Thus, in this way, those who you are attempting to involve will not be disturbed by your efforts.

Give of your self – don’t push yourself on others.
Give of your substance – don’t shove it on others.
Give of your love – and note how quickly love is accepted!

God does not push or shove love onto anyone. God merely offers love to everyone. Such love may be accepted or rejected, but it is always available – especially to those who have been pushed and shoved in their lives.

Don’t ever push or shove yourself in giving love – simply give love with a full heart. No, your heart will never empty itself of love, the more you give the more you receive from God.
