Getting to know self is not difficult, but it does take time. Meditation does help the process, but I well know that meditation is not for everyone. For some people it takes up too much time, for others they simply don’t know how to slow down enough to meditate. Therefore, in such cases, get to know self by contemplating on self just before falling asleep, or use the time when waking up in the middle of the night, or think about self while drinking coffee in the morning, or while in the bus or train when going to work. Where ever and whenever you can find a spare moment or two, use those moments to ponder on the WHY’s of your personage.

And by the way, there is no need to travel all over the world to ‘find yourself’. Find yourself right where you are. Yes, travel opens the soul and mind to the wonders of the world, but travel does not open the soul and mind to the knowledge of self.

Self is you, and agreed, obviously you are IN the world, but you are not OF the world. You are of spirit, and spirit is of self. Know self and, in turn, know spirit.

Therefore, I again urge that you start out by finding the WHY’s to those initial questions I posed for you. Contemplate in the way best suited to you … that unique you … and begin to know self.
