Emil - 8February 27, 2004 10:30-10:42 AM Being in love is a state of mind. And the mind, of course, is part of the soul. And the soul, being of God, is therefore a part of that loving state of mind. However, I would bring to your attention that word “state”. This state of mind of being in love is one thing – the state(ment) of love is another. Yesterday I spoke of pronouncing your love for friend and foe in a loud voice. This is what I meant by that – the state(ment) of your love. Such a state(ment), while it is of the voice, needs also to be a state of the mind. To speak of love while thinking of indifference, or hate, is hardly love. The whole being – the soul, the mind, and the body – needs to state and believe in love. One cannot truly be in love otherwise. So, before making a state(ment) of your love, be sure that your soul (being of God) is in tune with God. Souls do, on occasion, stray from God and then, indifference, hate, and greed invade. Love is more than a state of mind – it is a state of God. Emil
