Meditation is good for the soul and the body at the same time. Meditation gives the soul the opportunity to go beyond the body and, at the same time, meditation gives the body the opportunity to rest and be still. There are many ways to meditate – bookshop and library shelves are full of hardbacks, paperbacks, CD’s and DVD’s that tell how. Some will work for YOU and some will not. Find that which works for YOU and stay with that method until YOU find that it does not feel right anymore. YOUR soul is unique and so is YOUR body, what fits one may not fit your closest soul mate or family member. Seek out one that is right for YOU! To find one that is right for you requires patience and maybe reading more than one or two of the countless books and discs that are available. Or, you can attend a meditation course – there are many of those offered in local churches, colleges and metaphysical centers. Search for one that suits you. Personally I use my own meditation garden pictures of it are shown here; otherwise, during bad weather I simply sit in an easy chair in the living room, get comfortable, close my eyes and become quiet. But this may not be right for you, so search until you find a location best for YOU. What do you meditation about? There are a million things you can meditate on – God, self, health, friendship, life goals, reasons for being on Earth – the list is endless. Think before you go into meditation and decide on the subject or object and have a pad and pen at hand so that you can make notes when the meditation is finished. Start out with just a few moments and then work up to longer periods of time. Try to do meditate at the same time each day as the routine will help to establish a pattern for you to follow.
