Love as seen in the afternoon of one’s years on earth seems different from the love experienced early in life. And, of course, love in the evening phase of one’s life will seem different yet again.

Or is it different? Could it be that it is the concept, and the ardor, that changes and not love itself? How do you view this idea?

Thinking about such questions tends to open new doors for you to explore, do they not? As you journey through your life you age, and with age, you become more discerning, you see events in different ways.

And so it is with love. Love does not change, of course, but your perception of love changes. Your understanding of the love of God, for instance, is most certainly different now than it was even a few months ago. This is because you grow as love broadens your horizons.

In like manner, your concept of love for your family members changes even more than your understanding of the love of God changes. This is because your family members themselves change – they also grow as love broadens their horizons.

The point of this little message today is for you understand that your concept of love changes so that you can grow. Just keep in mind that love does not change – you do.
